UCSF researchers partner with governments, local agencies, non-government organizations and U.S. government agencies in other countries to address health issues from HIV, malaria, and TB to surgery, orthopedics, and maternal and child health.
As UCSF’s research portfolio and in-country partnerships expand, local registered offices enable us to be more effective and compliant with government and funding regulations.
Our offices support UC researchers working in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda. We also have an active registration in South Africa, but no current operations in that location. While technical staff provide support and expertise in informatics, monitoring and evaluation, and surveillance and strategic information.
